Hub:
They were just going way too fast for me. I couldn’t breathe. Twice, I felt like I was going to pass out – once, I actually thought “I am going to die!” So in front of everybody, I simply had to sit down, right there on the sidewalk, just to rest and catch my breath.
Me:
Not once, not twice, but three times now, I have fallen onto the sidewalk this year. Today was the latest. Head first, bag everywhere, cell phone sliding into the street. Strange faces looking at me and driving by. Either I need new shoes or I’m going too fast and need to take a day off to rest. Maybe both.

I do like both. I truly enjoycoming here.
:D
walking the sidewalk
Thanks. It's nice having you stop by.
Definitely new shoes. This sounds like my wife, and she says it's the shoes.
And hubby's sounds like me, particularly when we took the boys to Disneyland last winter.
One too slow, the other too fast. Funny, breezy writing. Thanks for visiting my blog.
Love the two writings here - the difference is strong. Nicely done and a pleasure to read!
I like them both. Good jobs!
Maybe the sidewalk stopped suddenly :-)
Enjoyed this. Not the falling - the words.
I enjoyed and related to both. Yours a bit too much
I'm trying to ease my way back into the blogging world :)
Thanks everyone!
pjd - I'm glad I'm not the only one. But at least there's an excuse to buy new shoes & yes, Disneyland will do that to you. :-)
anthony - that must have been it! [relief]
pia, nice to see you back in the land of the blog-living. :-)
I would pay to see him sit down :)
I had to laugh WITH not at you in yours. Just like I was laughing with my cousin last night when he slipped and fell in front of hundreds of people leaving a basketball game... after I'd just said it was slippery and I hoped I didn't fall. Cuz I'm usually that girl.
that is really cute the hub putting in his two cents... what a novel idea.....
May I suggest you start skipping over the cracks in the sidewalk :)
It's worth a shot.
Life's embarrassing moments.
Well told!

Both are excellent -- short descriptive passages that you can feel and see -- I could hear that cell phone scattering and I could feel that feel of panic and need to sit down -- immediately. Excellent!
Nice!
It's also sweet that you and DH write these. It's fun to see your interpreatations!
:-)
really good ones here...I loved the way you expressed them...
Enjoyed both pieces very much, and can relate to both. great job using these words!
