Dinner, Bath, Bed... Oh shit.
Forgot to do the Valentines cards - 35 per class - which were due this morning. (Thank God I bought them on the fly at Ralph's or we'd be in big doo-doo. 1/2 credit that they were there with me picking them out.)
Everybody out of bed.
Yell bloody murder to get at the dining room table and start writing.
For kindergarten, at least they are practicing writing names, so it's personal. ("Who the hell threw out the list??" as I dump out the kitchen trash.)
First grade "Just write friend, we don't want to sort" come the directions from school.
Who cares which Valentine goes with who, just get it done.
No smudging, double stickering, goofing off....... faster, faster... come on, clock's ticking.
Ahhh, Job's done.
Back to bed, covers on, two hours late, it's going to be a bad morning tomorrow.
What happened to the love? the hearts and doillies? kisses? love? love?

(I caught Thing 2 saying 'What the hell' in some context while playing. It's a phrase I should stop using.)
this had me smiling as I did my very first batch...this year! And my daughter is still in daycare!
