We're in the below 0 wind chill category for the weekend. Packer's are playing at home Saturday. Don't envy the fans at that game one bit. No thank you!
Speaking of crazy Packer Fans. Was wondering if we hit the national news with this one. It was all over the local news. Seems that some poor child fell victim to his crazy Father's obsession to the Packers. He was gonna make a fan out of his kid come hell or high water. Forcibly (by way of duct tape or some such thing) made his child wear a Packer Jersey and watch the game. Mom had Dad arrested. Article hit the papers the next day. Makes me ashamed to be living just two towns away from these people. Yeesh.
Wind Chills? Is that some kind of new ice cream flavor?
I hadn't heard your Packers story. How horrible! The poor kid. What are some parents thinking?
I hope it warms up!
CL - You are welcome to all the snow I left behind!
It's hard to believe that I am old enough to say this - I have lived more years away from the snow than I have in snow country. But it's true. Me a California girl.
I guess we both left New England some time ago... I have been more years in CA than CT for a few years now. I love the photo, but unlike some transplants here I actually miss the snow. Not enough to move back (yet), but a little.
Yes, Helen Hunt and I really are twins. She just doesn't know it.
Welcome to Psych City
Hello & Welcome...
I'm an aspiring writer with a full time job as a psychotherapist and mother of two tow-head elementary school kids. Did I forget to mention I am also full time employed as Chief Cook and Laundry Engineer? Although these roles leave me scant moments to write, I steal them when I can in hopes that 20 years from now I will have an archive to draw from. However, I submit and submit just in case someone wants me sooner.
I work at an inpatient psychiatric facility which often serves as both inspiration and fortitude in my journey as a writer. I also have a private practice where I see less severely suicidal or psychotic patients - more towards the functionally neurotic group in which most of us fall. In either setting, I am never ceased to be amazed at the willingness to start fresh in the face of pain, the resilience of people and the place that we all come from - love.
And so here we are in my blog at PsychCity, USA, where I hope we can create a forum to find our creative spirit and kick start our writing pens, or just plain let off some steam.

pjd, If truth be known, I miss the snow a little. But 2 minutes off the plane, I'm ready to go straight back to the sunshine. I hate the cold.
Word, it was painful watching your game on Sunday. How do the fans do it out in negative temperatures? Sorry they lost, I was rooting for them.
