Check out where you stand against the candidates @ http://www.electoralcompass.com/
I matched up closest to my candidate, so I guess I'm where I need to be. ...Sigh of relief....

Which candidate??? Hopefully not Fred Thompson, because he just dropped out, leaving the facists SOL.
cool link--thanks.
Hillary. I'm not a big political debater, but she seems like the most able to me. But the main issue is getting the current guy out - I think anyone could do a better job then what we've got right now.
I'm at the (sad) point where I want any democrat to win. I like Obama the best, but I'll take Hillary too.
I'm just a little off center to the right. So top match was Ron Paul......Who the hell is Ron Paul? Next came some guy who dropped out and then came Hillary. Obama was fifth. Fred was dead last.
I'd like to see what Hillary could do.
I was a little bummed at the questions.
I wanted a "but" or "except". For instance the comment about employers providing health insurance. I wanted an "except" for the small mom and pop shops. They can't afford it so I said "no" even though I think for the most part employers should do what they can to provide some sort of health care plan.....but they do anyway, if they want quality employees they do, so the question is irrevelent in my mind. The economy will dictate it.
Should the government provide for our retirement? ??? Are they talking about SS? Or are they talking about a government run 401K type thing. SS is already so screwed up, would I want them messing with my 401K? I think not! But the question wasn't concrete enough in my opinion.
Then the whole dealio about stem cell research. UHG! Do I want them killing unborn children for research? Of course not...but....if a baby dies before it is born, why wouldn't you use the umbilical cord or placenta or whatever it is they use to help others? I don't get the problem here! I really don't. Do people think scientists are going to create life only to destory it in the name of science? I suppose that could happen in a lab. I would be against that. So there is the "except". I'm good with it except......
So, I guess I'm one of those people who wavers on everything. There is never any black and white with me. Everything has an "except" or "but". I'd do terribly in the political arena. They'd call me see saw.
Dee - me thinks you think too much. :-)
