The Society of Children's Writers & Illustrators is hosting a Valentine's Contest. Prizes: Winner to receive 1 year subscription to SCBWI. Runner Up will receive an SCBWI T-Shirt of choice. Entries due Feb 14 for details, check out http://www.scbwi.org/contest.htm

Blind Date: Contest #28 - It was supposed to be the dreamiest Valentine’s Date Ever. And then, you opened the door
and saw… In 50 words or less, set the scene of your Valentine’s Day blind date.

or, if you prefer to draw...

The Anti-Valentine: Contest #25 For some of us, the thought of Valentine’s Day is as appealing as an early morning root canal. The sight of hearts, chocolate and canoodling lovers can be enough to put one in bed for weeks. If only Hallmark had a greeting card to commemorate the Valentine’s Day Scrooge. What would that card look like?

Show us whachagot!

Yeah! That's a scary thought. My story was when the door opened, the cupids were striking with doilley signs.
